ULTA BEAUTY HAUL + REVIEW

A couple weeks ago Brien and I went out for dinner in LR & stopped at Ulta so I could pick up a few things! I get Ulta mail and they always send a magazine with a coupon in the back. Normally it’s like $3.50 off $15 and obviously they do not work on prestige brands! But I still love getting those coupons because I love my drugstore makeup just as much as any others! Normally I know what I want going in, and this time wasn’t any different! Every thing I picked up is a new or new-ish product so I wanted to let y’all know how I have liked everything!
I’ll start with the Makeup Revolution concealer. Man did this SHAKE the beauty community. Supposedly it’s a PERFECT dupe for Tarte’s shape tape concealer. I watched several vids on YouTube and I just knew I had to try it out because ummm $7 compared to $27!!!! This is def A Dash of Cass approved! The shape tape concealer is amazing and I’ve never tried anything that compares to it (until now) but 30 bucks for a concealer.. pass! Even the doe foot applicator is super similar! MU revolution is always on some kind of deal (BOGO half, buy 2 get 1 free) at Ulta and you can use coupons on the brand. WIN. Here are a couple of differences - $20 in price difference Shape tape is .33 oz & MU Revolution is .11 Shape tape has 14 different shades, MU Revolution has 18 If you try it out, let me know how much you love it!
NYX POWDER PUFF LIPPIE ~ $8.49 Next, I purchased the new NYX powder puff lippie. This is an interesting product! I watch a lot of makeup gurus on YouTube and Tati did a video on these and made me want to try them! I will be buying more during my next trip! It has a pillowy cushion applicator. It goes on pretty much like a mousse and sets to a powdery soft finish. It almost stains my lips! I love it. I got it in the shade ‘cool intentions’. I really wanted ‘best buds’ and ‘moody’ but they were sold out of both! And now I want them all hahaha.
MARIO BADESCU LAVEDER SPRAY ~ $7 for 4.0 oz & $12 for 8.0 oz I love Mario Badescu face products and will try anything from the line. I have the rose water & cucumber facial spray so when I seen they came out with a lavender scent I needed it. I got the 4.0 oz in case I didn’t like it. I knew how it would feel on my face since I have the other two, I just wanted it for the purple color and the smell lol. Honestly it’s just okay! Pretty strong. I will be buying it again since I do use so much of their sprays.
NOT YOUR MOTHERS BOOSTER SHOT ~ $8.99 I use the Not Your Mothers hair products and have for a long time. These are scalp and hair booster shots. It’s just a liquid you put into your hair after a shower to help growth. I’ve only bought one set (it comes with 3 smaller bottles) and hair growth takes a while to notice, so not much to say! I will keep purchasing these to use and see if I can tell a difference. New beauty products always excite me! What new products are you excited to try?! XO, Cass
