FLASHBACK FRIDAY: 70s FASHION

Welcome back to another Flashback Friday! 70s fashion was all about freedom. There were no ‘rules’! People mixed patterns and matched different styles. Where the subcultures of hippies, punks, and bohemian chic emerged. All kinds of styles in the fashion industry! I appreciate this era because of the endless creativity and how crazy peoples wardrobes got. I love looking at old pictures from the 70s! Many people consider this era distasteful, which is understandable because of the lack of ‘rules’ in fashion, and well anything really! People went with the flow. ‘Groovy, right?’ ;) The 70s was definitely the most diverse and vibrant decade and left a mark on fashion forever (think about it- circle sunglasses are a thing, Show Me Your Mumu sells bell bottoms for a whoppin’ $150, and flare sleeves?! So hot right now)! People wore literally anything!! A cheap cotton dress, hippie fringe detailing, absolutely nothing (lol freedom, right?) all the way up to luxurious couture designs. They did it all! It was their way of expressing their self with a carefree style. Go with the flow. Eye catching bold looks with bright patterns mixed (that do not really agree with each other), sunflowers, denim blue, and lily orange - what they were all about! I think it’s the cutest look and have always loved 70s style. I wish I could have lived through the 70s! XO, Cass
