SPLURGE OR SAVE?! THE BEST DUPES

I don’t know about you, but I don’t really like to spend over $50 on makeup if I don’t have to! Of course I have my fave brands and fave products, but I enjoy finding dupes for products that are hot on the market ATM! I’ve gathered dupes for the FULL FACE. I have personally used all of these products so I know how they preform and I do believe they are great dupes! Just throwing that out there so you know that I have put these to the test. I’m here to help ya save money! I’ve decided not to link any of these products because all of them can be found at Sephora, Ulta, Walgreens or Walmart. If it’s a certain shade then I’ll leave the shade name.

Priming your face is super important! If you don’t prime and you notice your foundation sliding off or not lasting, try a good primer! I could go on all day about why you should use a primer but I won’t do that today, lol. Both of these are for oily skin. The Smashbox photo finish primer does not contain oil and the E.L.F. primer is actually an oil control primer! The only difference is that it’s a mist. So if you aren’t in to that, this isn’t for you! They both work great and the E.L.F is just as good, even as a mist.
$36 - $8

I apply my foundation with a brush and then I dab my concealer with a beauty sponge. I’ve heard people say that it doesn’t matter what brush you use, it just matters if you know what you’re doing and that’s so not true!! Brushes can leave streaks, will shed (& then you’ll have brush hair in your foundation..on your face...), and so on. I’ve used cheap beauty sponges that soak up ALL of my foundation and that is so wasteful. Just remember that when you’re buying makeup tools!
The Cover FX foundation brush is VERY good with the price point $38. The E.L.F. foundation brush is $6 and works well as long as you’re making sure to take good care of it (wash it regularly).
$20 beauty blender, $6 real techniques sponge.
I use to use the RT sponge in my daily routine and its performs exactly like a beauty blender.

The Mac studio fix foundation is $29. I love my Maybelline fit me for $6! When I tested these two, I applied MFM to half of my face, and MSF to the other and I couldn’t tell a difference!!!! I need to do a wear test on them. I may do that for an upcoming blog post!

Concealer is a major step in your makeup routine that you prob don’t want to skip. Even on days where I wear little makeup I still apply concealer. It’s so important to find a concealer that is a good color for you and one that has nice coverage to cover dark circles, wrinkles, etc. The NARS is a little more whipped than the Maybelline concealer.
$30 - $7

This is another important step. You want to set your under eye area for sure, and anywhere else you applied concealer. This helps creasing and brightens an area. Laura Mercier ($42) is really hot right now. The Coty Airspun ($8) powder is a great dupe for it. Neither creates flashback which is something to stear clear of while shopping for a setting powder!

There are soooo many eye shadow palettes that have many of the same colors in them. I think it is super easy to find a dupe for an eye shadow palette. The Maybelline blushed nudes palette ($10) has a lot of the colors that the UD Naked 3 ($50) has.

I never do a wing liner because well I can’t hahaha so I really don’t wear a lot of liner. All I do is tight line my top lid! The feel, consistency, and pigment is the same in both of these, I’d say!
$20 - $8

You’ll always want to make sure your bronzer isn’t too dark. Yeah it helps you look a little darker but you don’t want to look dirty, lol. So that’s something to be aware of while shopping for a shade. This is the Hoola bronzer by Benefit and the NYX bronzer in 'medium'
$29 - $9

NARS blush in desire and E.L.F. blush in shade pink passion ($3)!!! NARS is so dang expensive. $30 for this pan size ughhh. These shades are almost exact!

I could rave alllll day about Maybillines lash paradise mascara!!!!! I think it’s actually better than the Too Faced mascara! The TF mascara gets really clumpy on my lashes.
$23 - $9

I’m literally laughing right now! We have a lipstick that’s $20 and a lipstick that is $3 and they’re the exact same shade. I’m positive the wear on MAC is better than the Wet n Wild for sure though. Personally I will spend more for a lipstick if it means it’ll last! How about you?!
But if you’re ballin on a budget and need a good deep shade for the winter, go to Wal Mart and try it out! $3 can’t hurt! I think I’m going to do a wear test on these, too!
Okay wow that was a lot! I apologize it’s so long but TBH I had to stop myself on every single product bc I knew I was getting way too chatty haha. I know I’m going to do a good job working at Sephora cause I can talk makeup literally all day. If you try any of these dupes let me know how you like them! Do you like these kinds of posts?! I think they’re so fun. You should see me behind the scenes sitting at my vanity trying it all out, ha!
Have a lovely hump day everyone! PS - I’m sitting on my couch watching the VS fashion show while eating two BLTs lol whatevs.
